We're proud to welcome you to DWNY, 
the New York Doctor Who Group.

The group has been running since March '05,
we hold regular meetings (see events calendar),
publish a magazine, a chat forum and have
over 250 members on our mailing list.

If you want to know more about DWNY, let us have

touch - on average we send about one email a week.

* Why do we ask this question?  We're a lovely bunch of people, so we're very happy
welcome any new friends, but it is helpful to know who is local and 
who are our pals are from outside the area.

# Age: Why do we ask this question?  As the group grows in size, and with the show now on US TV,
there is a good chance the group will attract younger fans than it has done in its first few months.
We want to ensure we're setting up activities and sending out invitations that are appropriate,
for instance, we wouldn't want send out invitations to our regular bar meets to anyone under 21.
Also, for anyone under the age of 17, we'll ask for a contact name and number of a parent or 
guardian.  We will follow up with that person to ensure they're aware of the group and what it is about.
We're in no way trying to invade anyone's privacy, just being responsible.
